Where are the gas prices heading?

Posted on August 2, 2008. Filed under: Economy, Family, Oil Prices |

I wonder everyday if the gas price would head lower ? We have been cutting down our travel, we hesitate to drive to grocery store unless it is a must, our kids complain that summer hasn’t been so much fun as last year.  I think that gas prices would temporarily go down to $60 or $70 per barrel before the elections and then shoot up close to $200/barrel or $9/gallon. The reason I believe is that politics has played a role in the manipulation of the gas price , some reserves of oil will be released and diplomacy may be exercised with oil companies and oil producing countries. Readers, what do you think?

right on…I want to jump in at $75-$80 a barrel

I Heard this one too, around June or July. I tend to agree as 5$ US gasoline would eclipse all the other debate in a U.S election.
